*SF Volunteer Opportunity - Geared to College Students

We welcome college students and other San Francisco community members who can join our San Francisco Mid-Market team on-site during the weekday(s). We are actively recruiting volunteers to support our vital immigration work!

· As a volunteer, you will learn the behind-the-scenes work that goes into humanitarian-based immigration lawyering.

· Your investment will help cushion the blow our staff and clients are experiencing through Trump 2.0's concerted efforts to destroy legal immigration pathways, in the administration's death by a thousand papercuts strategy.

· You will play a key role in supporting our casework by advancing critical everyday tasks, such as:

o  Preparing case starter packets for attorneys

o  Processing incoming immigration documents for client's cases

o  Submitting record requests to the federal government to best prepare our clients' cases

o  Emailing USCIS (immigration) offices to pursue clients' missing documents owed to them

o  Preparing individualized "Do Not Detain Me" ICWC letters for clients upon request

How to Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter to melissa@icwclaw.org, addressed to Melissa Chan Romero, outlining your interest in the position and your weekday schedule of availability during our office hours (9am to 5pm) and your proposed start date.
